Специалисты университета МакМастер (Канада) разработали специальный коктейль, в составе которого находятся противовозрастные ингредиенты. Благодаря комплексу активных биодобавок коктейль способствует замедлению развития физической дисфункции, играющей ключевую роль в процессе старения организма. Витаминный коктейль, созданный учеными из Канады, содержит в себе витамины В1, С, D и E, фолиевую кислоту, ацетилсалициловую кислоту, чеснок, бета-каротин, гинкго билоба, корень имбиря, экстракт зелёного чая, женьшень, мелатонин, магний, калий, льняное масло, рыбий жир.
Тестовые испытания коктейля проводились на лабораторных мышах. Мыши, получавшие в ходе эксперимента новый витаминный комплекс, будучи пожилыми, были настолько же активны в движениях, как и молодые подопытные мыши. У пожилых мышей, не получавших добавку, было отмечено снижение двигательной активности на 50 %.
Благодаря воздействию компонентов нового коктейля повышается активность клеток, поддерживающих энергию митохондрий и предотвращающих деятельность свободных радикалов. Как считают ученые, главная причина смерти человека по естественным причинам с возрастом - активность свободных радикалов. Кроме того, она вызывает также ряд болезней, к числу которых относятся рак, диабет II типа, нарушения сердечной деятельности, а также расстройства аутоиммунного характера и воспалительные процессы.
