В предыдущем году нетбуки поставляли намного больше, чем в 2008 и это не просто прогнозы или подсчёты, это данные компании, которая занималась исследованиями - DisplaySearch. По сравнению с 2008 в 2009 нетбуков поставили на сто три процента больше. За 2009 год произвели почти тридцать три с половиной миллиона нетбуков, для сравнения, в 2008 эта цифра не дошла и до шестнадцати с половиной. В 2010, как прогнозируют специалисты рост продолжится, и количество устройств дойдёт до сорока миллионов. Сейчас лидером по производству нетбуков является компания Acer, которая занимает 21,4 % на рынке. Правда сейчас вплотную подбирается компания Hewlett-Packard у которой 16%.
