Владислав Цыплухин -представитель сети "Вконтакте" рассказал, что в 2010 году доход компании от продажи рекламы составил 1,36 млрд.руб. Медийная реклама принесла компании 910 млн.рублей, 450 млн. рублей компания заработала на таргетированной рекламе. «Вконтакте» к концу 2011 года ожидает, что выручка утроится.
Предправления «Финам» Владислав Кочетков считает, что всему этому способствует таргетирование рекламы с учетом регионов проживания, платформ и браузеров. Кроме того, компания полностью откажется от медийной рекламы, так как уверенна, что таргетированная реклама полностью сможет заменить медийную. Владислав Цыплухин объясняет : «Медийная реклама мешает пользователям в полном объеме искать информацию по сайту». Однако в настоящее время крупные фирмы-рекламодатели любят дорогую «медийку». Кочетков считает, что отказ компании от медийной рекламы является неоднозначным и нелогичным.
