Главную лепту в победу, вложил легионер из Финляндии – Лаакконен. Интрига сохранялась до последней минуты. Ведь на табло был счёт 2:2! Московские «динамовцы» хорошо сопротивлялись, и забили два гола. Игра могла завершиться в ничью. Но за две минуты до завершения поединка – всё изменилось, Лаакконен помог вырваться вперед. Он закатил третий гол в ворота московского «Динамо», и счет стал 3:2, в пользу хоккеистов из Казани. Точку же в данном поединке поставил Сергей Обухов, который «расписался» в воротах, забив четвёртый мяч в ворота команды из Москвы.
