На Олимпиаде в Ванкувере фигурист из Японии Дайсуке Такахаси завоевал бронзовую медаль. Он уступил российскому спортсмену Плющенко и Лайсачеку (фигуристу из Америки). Из-за травмы (разрыва связок) колена Такахаси полностью пропустил прошлый сезон. По его словам, он не думает о следующей Олимпиаде.
