Российская теннисистка Вера Звонарева впервые в своей карьере вышла в финал Уимблдона. Соперницей Веры на пути к финалу стала известная болгарская теннисистка Цветана Пиронкова. Несмотря на победу в трех сетах, матч получился очень напряженным для нашей спортсменки. Несколько раз Вера могла досрочно закончить матч, так как было видно, что болгарская теннисистка потеряла свою игру. Но Вера сама для себя создавала проблемы по ходу игры – неоправданно рискуя и допуская совсем нелепые ошибки. Впрочем, и соперница Веры в силу своей молодости порою неоправданно шла на риск.
Теперь же, для нашей теннисистки предстоит очень тяжелый матч в финале, против действующей чемпионки Большого Шлема - Серены Уильямс. В силу своего опыта можно сказать, если Вера будет так же допускать ошибки, как и в матче с болгарской теннисисткой, то одержать победу будет трудно. Хотя, по ходу турнира, Вера успела уже не раз опровергнуть мнения экспертов. Надеемся, что и в этот раз Звонарева удивит всех и завоюет первый для себя важный трофей.
