Напомним, что срыв футбольного отборочного матча между сборными Сербии и Италии вызвал большой общественный резонанс. Речь идёт о погроме, который устроили сербские фанаты на стадионе в Генуе.
«Разогревать» ситуацию фанаты начали ещё накануне матча, когда атаковали автобус своей же собственной сборной, избили вратаря сборной В. Стойковича, нанеся тому не только побои, но и тяжёлую психологическую травму. В итоге, Стойкович не смог выйти на поле.
Само начало матча, из-за бесчинств фанатов, задержалось на полчаса. Начавшись же, футбольный матч продолжался всего лишь около пяти минут и был прерван судьёй: на поле летели петарды и дымовые шашки. Предварительно, фанаты освистали гимн Сербии, крушили проволочные ограждения и выкрикивали экстремистские лозунги. По следам погрома, правоохранительными органами Италии и Сербии были арестованы 52 человека.
И вот теперь, как пишет сербская газета «Политика» (проправительственная газета), выяснилось, что фанаты были подкуплены «криминальными структурами». По словам газеты, за бесчинства было проплачено, группе из 60 хулиганов, более двухсот тысяч евро. Газета поясняет, что беспорядки заказали двое главарей криминальных группировок, скрывающихся от правосудия. Они заинтересованы в дестабилизации обстановке в стране.
