В том, что Дэвид возвратится в свой клуб, никто не сомневается. Он считается одним из самых знаменитых людей на Земле и играет за «Лос-Анджелес Гэлакси».

В настоящее время (с начала 2010 года) Бэкхем выступает за итальянский клуб «Милан» на правах аренды. Перейти в «Милан» на таких условиях Бэкхему посоветовал главный тренер англичан Фабио Капелло. Сделать так было необходимо для наилучшей подготовки к Чемпионату Мира.

Сейчас Бэкхем находится в составе сборной Англии, котораяпроведет товарищеский матч со сборной Египта в среду. С американским клубом контракт английского футболиста продлится до 2012 года. Цена договора равна 200 миллионам долларов.
