Отстранение главы Олимпийского комитета России Леонида Тягачева и министра спорта Виталия Мутко от должности не поможет решить тех проблем, которые помешали российским спортсменам показать высокие результаты на прошедшей в Ванкувере Олимпиаде. Так считает вице-премьер Госдумы В. Жириновский. По его мнению, невысокими результатами сборной России являются чисто биологические причины. На слабое выступление повлияли изменения, произошедшие в организации спорта. То есть в России осталось очень мало профессионалов, так как спортсмены и тренеры уехали работать за рубеж. Для того чтобы добиться положительных высоких результатов в соревнованиях, необходимо провести качественную психологическую подготовку спортсменов. В. Жириновский предлагает решить этот вопрос с его помощью.
