В Йемене арестовали человека, обвиняемого властями в финансировании йеменской ячейки «Аль-Каеды». Арест 33-летнего Салех аль-Раими состоялось в аэропорту города Сана, столицы Йемена. Прилетел туда подозреваемый из Саудовской Аравии.
Йеменское агентство новостей Saba, ссылаясь на министерство внутренних дел Йемена, уточнило, что подозреваемый является уроженцем Йемена, но проживает постоянно в Саудовской Аравии. Имя Салех аль-Раими включено в «чёрный список» лиц, связанных с терроризмом.
Известие о задержании Салех аль-Раими сопровождается информацией йеменских СМИ об активизации деятельности «Аль-Каеды» на территории Йемена. Так, в провинции Абян, ликвидированы двое террористов-смертников «Аль-Каеды», попытавшихся подорвать военный патруль. Власти Йемена обратились к общественности помочь найти людей, предполагаемых членов йеменской организации «Аль-Каеды», опубликовав предварительно список из восьми подозреваемых и пообещав награду за помощь в сумме ста тысяч долларов.
По данным властей, всего, йеменская ячейка террористической организации располагает боевиками, численностью около 200 – 300 человек.
По сведениям ЦРУ, йеменские террористы «Аль-Каеды» в последние месяцы существенно повысили свою активность.
