Композитор Оскар Фельцман, лауреат Государственной премии СССР, встречает свои 90 лет с очередной наградой в руках. Президент Российской Федерации Дмитрий Медведев уже подписал указ о награждении композитора орденом «За заслуги перед Отечеством» 2-й степени. Саму награду Оскар Фельцман будет получать, возможно, "из рук" Дмитрия Медведева, 9 марта. Президент будет вручать государственные награды в Кремле.
Так же помимо ордена, Фельцман получит новенький автомобиль Chevrolet Epica. В поздравлении от президента отмечены высокие заслуги композитора. Так, упомянуты выдающиеся симфонические произведения Фельцмана в классике, а также работы для исполнителей романсов и эстрадных песен, которые имеются в репертуаре многих отечественных исполнителей и музыкальных коллективов. При этом популярность произведений среди слушателей нисколько не падает.
