Первые заслуженные медали завоевали спортсмены из Красноярского края на чемпионате Европы по борьбе в самый первый день состязаний. Первыми в соревновании выступали борцы с весом в категории до шестидесяти, семидесяти четырех, девяноста шести килограмм.
Прошлогодний чемпион Европы, выпускник Академии борьбы Красноярского края вольник Опан Сат одержал победу в самой низкой весовой категории в финале над албанским спортсменом Сахитом Призрени, и заслужил звание двукратного чемпиона Европы. По словам Сата, эта победа досталась ему намного тяжелее, чем в прошлом году.30 марта в соревнования вступят борцы с весовой категорией пятьдесят пять, шестьдесят шесть, восемьдесят четыре и сто двадцать килограмм. Анзор Уришев, так же заевоевавший титул чемпиона на прошлогоднем чемпионате Европы, постарается повторить успех своего земляка, но уже в категории до восьмидесяти четырех килограмм. 31 марта и 1 апреля на чемпионате выступят две спортсменки из Красноярска – Анна Половнева и Лориса Ооржак.
