По данным пенсионного фонда Алтайского Края, с 1 апреля 2010 года проведено индексирование пенсий для 699 тысяч пенсионеров региона. Такая индексация увеличила выплаты пенсий по Алтайскому краю до 5,2 миллиардов рублей, что означает увеличение объемов выплат на 306 миллионов рублей.
Увеличение пенсий на 6,3% затронуло категории пенсионеров по трудовому стажу, потере кормильца и инвалидов. Пенсионеры, находящиеся на государственном обеспечении, получат пенсии больше на 8,8%. Социальная пенсия станет на 400 рублей (9,8%) выше прожиточного минимума в Алтайском крае. При этом на 453 рубля увеличен средний размер трудовой пенсии, что соответствует 7600 рублей. Социальная же пенсия возрастет до 4661 рубля, что означает ее увеличение на 377 рублей.
