31 марта 2010 году было достигнуто соглашении о слиянии банков Армении Америабанк и "Каскад Банк". Подписание соответствующего соглашения стало значимым событием для страны, не имеющим прецедентов. После слияния банки будут работать под брендом Америабанк. В результате проведенной сделки активы Америабанка достигли суммы в 400 миллионов долларов, при этом капитал банка составит 75 миллионов долларов.
Отметим, что чистая прибыль Америабанка по результатам прошлого года составила 1,5 миллиарда драмов, что эквивалентно 4 миллиардам долларов. По мнению Артака Анесяна, занимающего пост генерального директора ЗАО Америабанк и возглавляющего совет директоров, возможно в трехлетней перспективе ряд других банков республики выразят свое желание соединиться с его банковской организацией, и Америабанк с удовольствием рассмотрит предложения, хотя в настоящее время никаких конкретных переговоров по слияниям не ведется.
Крупнейшим стратегическим партнером армянского банка является российская инвестиционно-банковская компания "Тройка Диалог". Весной 2010 года сообщалось о намерении Америабанка приобрести один из банков республики Армении.
