Стало известно, кто будет представлять Украину на Евровидении, которое пройдёт в 2010 году в Норвегии. Им стал двадцативосьмилетний Василий Лазарович. Особых успехов у Лазаровича нет, кроме девятого места на фестивале "Новая Волна", в котором он участвовал два года назад. Кроме Василия Лазаровича были ещё пятьдесят семь претендентов на участие в главном песенном конкурсе Европы, но "Первый Национальный" сделал выбор сам, без отборов и конкурсов. Другие же возможные участники остались у "разбитого корыта", ведь даже как такового шанса они не получили. Основным претендентом на поездку в Норвегию был популярный певец Виталий Козловский, у которого было и огромнейшее желание и не менее грандиозные планы.
