В День Святого Валентина и на Масленицу в Красноярске была устроена дискотека на льду, которая совместила в себе русские народные традиции и веяния современности. На стадионе «Рассвет» собралось более ста жителей города, но в привычном понимании дискотеки не получилось – сказалась не очень приятная погода. И хотя столбик на термометре не опустился ниже отметки в -10 градусов, холодный ветер заставил многих остаться дома. Возможно, именно погода способствовала и тому, что для конкурса изначально подали заявки семнадцать пар, а участие приняли только десять.
Стоит также сказать, что первый раз за многие десятилетия День Святого Валентина пришелся на один день с Прощёным воскресеньем. Может быть, и глава Октябрьского района города решил просить прощения – абсолютно всем предлагались блины? Ведь уже до Пасхи всем православным запрещено веселиться и употреблять жирную пищу.
